Iron House Bar and Cafe is open daily from 11am – late for lunch and dinner overlooking the canoe lake, manicured surrounds, and Tasman Ocean.

A stunning function centre for weddings receptions, dinners, conferences, special events is available for use for up to 200 people.

White Sands Estate features many free activities and facilities, such as a putting green, canoe lake, trout fishing, basketball court, tennis courts, children’s playground, privately accessed white sand beaches – perfect for a wedding ceremony, boat ramp, BBQ facilities and a stunning 25 metre pool as a central feature of the estate.

Perhaps one of the most surprising features is the 50 seat Cinema with dynamic surround sound and vintage leather cinema seats that is available anytime for use.

Enjoy the best of Tasmania’s berries at Eureka fruit and berry farm, Scamander. Call in for fresh fruit, coffee and cake or a unique fruity ice cream. Everything is prepared on the farm so take a farm trail walk to see where it all grows.
St Helens Charter Fishing
Have a go at catching your own dinner and head to St Helen’s for some charter fishing. The professional charters supply everything you need including rods, bait, morning and afternoon tea and the fish you wish to keep for eating they will clean and bag it for you. The only things you need to take are comfy shoes and a camera to record your catches!
Pyengana Cheese Factory / Pub in the Paddock
Head to Pyengana and and try some delectable cheeses at the Pyengana cheese factory. Have
lunch at the Holy Cow café or enjoy a quite ale at Pub in Paddock, one of Tasmania’s oldest country pubs, licensed since 1880.
Mount Elephant Pancake Barn
Take a scenic trip through Elephant Pass and try some of world famous pancakes and crepes from the Mount Elephant Pancake bar.
TASMANIAN PARKS
Freycinet National Park ((Approximately a 1 hour drive)
This spectacular national park features many walks into Wine Glass Bay, our favourite suggestion is the Cape Tourville Lighthouse walk that allows you a glimpse of wineglass bay and beautiful perspective of friendly beaches and the cape’s lichen covered cliffs.
For the more adventurous climb Mt Amos for a birds eye view of the bay.
Or book a Wine Glass Bay Cruise to enjoy the spectacular Freycinet coastline.
The Bay of Fires (Approximately 45 minute drive)
This is a stunning stretch of coastline that stretches from Binalong Bay to Eddystone Point
and is famous for its white beaches, blue water and orange coloured granite rocks.
Enjoy the east coast weather and go snorkelling at Binalong Bay. The water is crystal clear, and in summer it’s warm. The amazing views that you’ll find under the water are worth getting your toes wet for. If you’re not feeling the need for a dip, just enjoy a walk along some of the best beaches in the world.
Douglas Apsley National Park (Approximately 25 minute drive)
Douglas Apsley National Park is located just north of Bicheno and is a relatively well kept secret.
Visitors can explore the park’s dry eucalypt forests and rainforests whilst studying the many plant and animal species, some now rare and endangered. Enjoy a picnic lunch and ensure you visit the
spectacular Heritage Falls located on the Douglas River.
